Working with programs, such as InDesign, Quark, and Illustrator (& Freehand) for the last 10 years, my experience with print design has been evolving within book-interior design, typography, and signage. This distinction may presides outside of my motion graphics/animation practice, but it completes my overall design strengths.

Digging into Data

Digging into Data with TinkerPlots

Designed the template that this book is based on for easy reproduction for composition (with InDesign) and created type/page specifications for accurate copy and visual layout by compositors. Key Curriculum Press' Digging into Data is used amongst 6-8 graders in conjunction with KCP software program called TinkerPlots. It is a "software [program that] boosts elementary and middle school students' comprehension of data and graphing with interactive, visual representations" making it more interesting for the student.

Student Registration Kit

As a Production Artist, often times I would have to work off of a pre-existing template. There were times when I got to exercises some creativity. These kits are an example of that.

The Catalyst 3.0 and McGraw-Hill Reader Student Registration Kits were sold to students to gain access to online material. The projects needed a quick design, which didn't fit into the normal design template. The two shown here were mocked up within a few hours and delivered to the printer within 48-hours. A nice example of imagination to deliver items that was overlooked originally in the planning process.

Statistics in Action

Statistics in Action, Understanding a World of Data

Key Curriculum Press' Statistics in Action is an advance-level placement textbook for college-bound students. This case-bound book was a joy to work on considering the challenge presented to me, which included a magnitude of statistical composition along with a detailed type specification that needed to be drafted for the compositor.
